Community - Safety – Partnership

Working in partnership with Nottinghamshire Police, Nottinghamshire County Council and Nottingham City Council, we aim to build a better neighbourhood for a better tomorrow.

We are also supported by Nottinghamshire Police & Crime Commissioner, Paddy Tipping.

Nottinghamshire Neighbourhood Watch (NottsWatch®) represents the interests of Neighbourhood Watch members, schemes and associations throughout the City of Nottingham and County of Nottinghamshire.

Our objectives are to promote, develop and strengthen the Neighbourhood Watch movement throughout Nottinghamshire. Working collaboratively, with recognised Authorities and other relevant organisations, NottsWatch® aim:

• To promote good citizenship and greater public awareness by increasing public participation in the prevention and detection of crime, reducing the fear of crime, improving police/community liaison and increasing community safety and facilitating resilience.
• To address loneliness, isolation, vulnerability and enhance neighbourliness in line with Nottinghamshire Police Force priorities.
• To provide effective communication to support communities, reduce crime and improve community cohesion.

Nottinghamshire Neighbourhood Watch (NottsWatch ®) is a registered charity (No. 1156310) currently run by an Executive Committee of six Trustees, these being elected at an Annual General Meeting each year - from the membership, by the membership. We are also supported by representatives from Nottinghamshire Police, Nottinghamshire County Council and Nottingham City Council, along with non-executive volunteers, contributing to the effective running of our association.
